Wikipedia Proposal
We plan on adding to the Wiki article on Carol Gilligan. While the page has basic biographical information and discusses what kind of work she has done, it does not have a section on her works or the implications of her work, especially regarding ethics and feminist theory. We plan on synthesizing the important aspects of her writings and possibly also discuss her criticism from a feminist perspective on Lawrence Kohlberg’s stages of moral development. We also hope to research more on the influence she has had on American in regards to her works and beliefs.
What we have researched so far includes a broad overview of her background and teaching career, the books she has written, the academic honors she has received, and her theories on feminism. Specifically, Gilligan has a website where she has posted autobiographical information about herself, as well as given us a place to start our research. The Wiki article on Lawrence Kohlberg’s stages of moral development also has links and references we can use to add to our research.Carissa Raines 20:46, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
