Cake the Cat is a fictional character from the Adventure Time franchise. She was first introduced in the Adventure Time episode "Fionna and Cake" as a genderbent version of Jake the Dog. She is one of the main characters in the Max series Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake. The character is voiced by American actress and singer Roz Ryan.
Creation and development
editCake the Cat is a gender-swapped and species-swapped version of the Jake the Dog.[1] She was created by Adventure Time storyboard artist Natasha Allegri. Allegri first drew the character for a "gender-swap art thread" on 4chan.[2]
In 2021, it was announced that HBO had greenlit production on Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, an adult animated series starring Cake.[3]

editCake first appeared in Adventure Time's third season, in the episode "Fionna and Cake".
In Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, Cake is initially an ordinary cat who can not speak.[4]
