AS you know, your recent articles on the local chapters of your service fraternity have been marked for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy. Since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, there are many types of articles that are simply viewed as not appropriate for Wikipedia. Before spending more time on articles, you may want to review Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not.

You may also want to look for other wikis on the Internet that provide space for wikis. Two that I know of are www.wikicities.com and www.wikispaces.com

Of course, there is nothing wrong with learning to edit by writing articles on yourself or your friends, but you should do it in the Wikipedia sandbox or on your own user page.
