  • "What is your real name?": My name is David!
  • "Who is Bucsfannva?": That would be me. The name refers to a period of my life when I lived in Northern Virginia but kept my roots true to the Buccaneers.
  • "You are a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan??": Yup. Since 1976! I have followed the Buccaneers my whole life! I'm also a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
  • "What are you doing on here?": When Wikipedia first started I was an early user - mostly just to read stuff but learned how to edit, and then to create pages. I'm not the best but I'm getting better all the time.
  • "What do you do for a real job?": I work in Information Technology.
  • "Where do you live?" I am a Florida native but I've been around the world. After getting out of the military I lived in Washington, D.C. and I lived in Luxembourg for a about a year. I have come back to my roots in Tampa, Florida.
  • "You were in the military?" Yes. I spent 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. Proud veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. I went to boot camp at Parris Island.

Get A Life edit

I really love coming on here and adding information, after doing the research and finding the references and then someone just comes along and yells at me. Telling me it is not this or that and reverts my changes. For instance I recently added some info on a daytime talk show who is adding a new host next season. I went on and found the referrences, added the info and updated the page (adding for the future season) and some wikiwinch (my own term!) changed all the hard work I put in knowing full well that it was coming - and deleted because the next season hasn't aired yet. Big whoop! I think it was useful information. I went to their talk page and lots of people hate the fact they always delete their changes. I looked at their change history pages and this is all they do all day long is update wiki stuff. Get a life! I only make updates on things that I have a real interest in and use wikipedia for a lot of useful info. Regardless, I'm just a nobody on here and the wikiwinches will always rule the site.

Bullies edit

I have noticed that a lot of the so called "editors" here on Wikipedia are BULLIES! They feel that they can just remove changes made by everyday folks and then write demeaning things about them in the notes! I've had sections deleted that I've worked on, researched and then published just for some of the wiki BULLIES to come along and wipe it out and say it is insignificant. I've had this happen on the school house issue I published on Jameis Winston and most recently on the uniqueness of the "people weighers" (scales) at all of the Florida locations of the Publix supermarket chain. If you try to revert it back they just come along and delete it again. I love using this site and I love being a part of the community but these idiots that have absolutely nothing better to do with their time... If you question an edit talk to the person who wrote it and maybe it is worthy of publication somewhere else on the page - or in a more concise version. The only time I remove something is when it is total vandalism! That is all - stepping down off my soap box.
