About Me edit

I live in back-road zombie country in the middle of Missouri. I hail from the San Francisco area of California originally, and spent my high school years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but Colorado will always be considered home. Those mountains are in my blood. I identify myself as an artist, though I haven't done much art in the past year or so. I have a very strong interest in collecting music, and have been known to obsess over a band here or there in the past. I decided to join the Wikipedia project after feeling frustration that certain bits of information I was looking for concerning some favorite bands was not in the wikiverse, and decided that I should go about adding that information myself rather than complaining that nobody else has!

My Interests edit

Music edit

My taste in music has taken a long, twisting road since childhood, pulled a few u-turns, and cruised through some strange country. One of the stranger bits was industrial rock music, especially that of a few guys from New York who got into industrial metal in the late 80s and early 90s and produced some fantastic but little known albums. I obsessed about this stuff for a while, and know more about those albums and bands than I do about almost anything else. Hence my first Wikipedia projects were to update, clean up, and expand the pages for: Argyle Park, Circle of Dust, and LVL. A couple of them still do music, notably Klayton with his project Celldweller.

My Contributions edit

Pages I've created:

Pages I've overhauled:

  • Klayton an industrial/electronic rock musician, the man behind Celldweller, founder of FiXT
  • Celldweller an electronic rock project begun in 1999
  • Circle of Dust an earlier industrial/metal band of Klayton's
  • Argyle Park an earlier electro/industrial/metal band of Klayton's
  • LVL Klayton's younger brother, a very talented electronica/industrial artist in his own right
  • Sebastian Komor, a prolific EBM/industrial musician
  • Meat Beat Manifesto, a very influential and long-lasting industrial/Big Beat/dubstep band
  • Attrition, a pioneering industrial/darkwave band that's been around for 30 years
