Kate Thompson (Educational Scholar) edit

Kate Thompson is an educational scholar, her work has looked into many parts of the primary curriculum and pedagogy behind the teaching of this. She has published over ten influential articles already and continues her research and to publish papers related to this.

Quite possibly her most influential piece looks at the role of global learning in primary schools and the impact of this upon SEN schools/pupils. She has also given talks on the benefits of global learning to children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.

Kate Thompson was born in Crosby, Merseyside and went to local university Liverpool John Moores University where she initially achieved her BA (Hons) Primary Education degree.
