Article Critique

edit

I visited the Rhythm Corps page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: left out information, biased citations, and viewpoints that are understated.

Left Out Information

edit

For me, I believe that there was some left out information in this article. For me, leaving out the information as of to why the band split up leaves the article incomplete. Now with such a small 80's band like Rhythm Corps, information on the reason for the seperation of the band is hard to find. Another piece of information that was left out was the band's reuniontour that the went on back in 2016. With these sources of information missing, it leaves me wanting to know more.

Biased Citations

edit

One thing that I saw in this article that I found to be slightly unreliable was the use of a Rhythm Corps Myspace fan page as one of the citable sources for information. After navigating this Myspace page I found it hard to believe that much if any information could have been retrieved from this site. For me, using a band's fan page as a source for information doesn't make it quite as credible as a reliable source. I believe that someone added this edit to promote their myspace fan page for the band to gain attention.

Understated Viewpoints

edit

The viewpoints I wish were stated in this article were where the band is now. The information given about the formation of the band was also a minor section in this article. Just adding more present day information and back story would have made this a better article in my opinion.

Summary

edit

In my rating for this article, I would call in an overall good article. There is little information on this band floating through the internet, so the hard work put into this page is very nice. The only things I found to mention on, weren't even very bad, but more minor things I noticed. This article is very good representation of the band, and I am very glad that it exists.
