Hi. I am a doctoral student at the Institute of Communications Research (ICR). I am creating general wikipedia page for the ICR to add more information about it. The ICR was founded in 1947. At the time of writing this (Nov 2019) there is no page that offers information about the research institute's history, role, purpose, contribution to the field of Communications Research, Media Studies, Journalism Studies, and Advertising Education.
On wikipedia, the ICR is not yet a page. It is a link under 'College Units' in the UIUC College of Media page.
The ICR contributes scholarship and scholars to the abovementioned fields and there are many articles related to it on Wikipedia that can be linked back to the ICR wiki page when created. If you are a current/former student, current/former faculty, current/former administrative personnel; or just any student, teacher, practitioner, enthusiast related to the field of media and communications studies - I welcome you to help me add to this page! :)
