Kamanaicken Palayam
Kamanaicken Palayam is one of the 17 Town panchayat located in the Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu. Declared a municipality on February 24, 2016. The municipality is located between Coimbatore district and Tirupur district. There are a total of 15 wards in the state. The Kamanayakan Palayam municipality is home to over 5,000 people from northern states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. There are more than 15 factories around Kamanayakan Estate. Kamanayakan Palayam is the hometown of AIADMK MLA Thiru Kanagaraj, who won the Sulur constituency by a margin of 36,000 votes in the 2016 assembly elections. The first fish market in the area was started in 2001 on behalf of Thampi Fish Marine Company. From that day till today, fish is being sold not only in Kamanaicken Palayam but also in the surrounding areas.
