MY Name IS

edit

My name is Brad Howell Jr. I was born in Durham, North Carolina. However I currently live in Buford Georgia. I graduated from North Gwinnett High School and currently attending Georgia Southern University to major in Industrial Engineering. Meanwhile I plan to transfer to Georgia Institute of Technology in two years to further my education. I choose this major because I have many hands on experience and I'm a people person.

About Me

edit

I was born September 7, 1991 to the parents of Brad and Sharon Howell. I had a love for music and dance at a very young age so, my parents saw this and put me in dance class at the age of three and was fortunate to have piano lessons at the age of 8. I am very musically inclined; I am a singer, song writer, and musician. I'm also very interested in sports I have played basketball and baseball for most of my life. My dad also got me into boxing because he was a semi-pro boxer himself. I love my family and cherish them deeply. Without them I wouldn't have reached the point I'm at now. I do lots of charity work such as feeding the homeless in Atlanta. I always see the best in people because I want them to see the best in me, which also allows for me to care deeply for people too. I'm optimistic and I believe that if I set my mind to something and don't have that fear of failing I can accomplish anything.

Education and Accomplishments

edit

I graduated from North Gwinnett High School. I graduated with a 3.3 GPA and obtain many awards while I was there. I was a part of the Beta Club, Spanish Club and Chorus. I also was much honored to be a part of the first African American group that started in my school. You had to have many qualifications such as a 3.0 GPA, active in school, and a good disciplinary record. I am also proud to say that I was selected to be a part of the Honor Chorus that meets every year in Athens, Georgia with other selected students from their chorus groups at their school. However not only have I been selected all four years of my high school career I also went through a series of auditions to make the All-State Choir, which are the best of the best singers in Georgia. I loved listening in helping kids so I applied to be a Freshmen Mentor and i was honored to be chosen two year as a Freshmen Mentor. I was in many leadership groups such as NGSLT and received awards such as having over a hundred hours of community service, leadership awards, and many chorus awards.

Goals

edit

I plan to first get my Bachelors Degree in engineering. While I'm doing that I plan to continue with recording music and making music because it's something I love and want to make it big one day. I also want to become the best I can be as a student as I'm expanding my education also the best I can be as a son. I want to travel the world being open to many traditions. I plan on joining a fraternity while I'm in school. Im setting a very possible goal of graduating college with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Overall I want to achieve all that I can while I'm living.

Technology Skills

edit

I am very inclined when it comes to computers because I'm a very hands on person. My dad is an Mechanical Engineer so most of what I've learned is from him. I have taking apart a computer and put it back together myself just to see if I'm really skilled at what my dad taught me. I do a lot of my own recoding of music on my computer, which takes a lot of skill and hard work to know exactly what you are doing. I acquired this skill because I watched my dad always build things from scratch and saw him take things apart and build it back together again. Therefore he got me really interested into hands on skills and that is why I'm really good with computers today. If there is something wrong with a computer I will most likely be able to fix it.

Philosophy

edit

Wikipedia is a great website however isn't the first resource I would go to for information. I have had many teachers tell me that Wikipedia is a horrible site to use but working with this website for the last seven days I have found this website to be significantly secure unlike what i have been told by my teachers. I have gained new light and found out that Wikipedia would be a great source however it doesn't acquire as much information that may be substantial for a report or a project. Although it may not obtain significant amount of information I recommend it is a great website to use if you want a brief synopsis on a subject, person or idea.
