Note which, if this was a physical office and not a webpage, would be posted on my door edit

Not dead. College is still kicking my ass, but I'm surviving it & doing better. Still going to be mostly if not entirely inactive here until further notice. 4/12/2024

About Me edit

My current username is... not really something I'm proud of. I came up with it at 15, and it shows. I might submit a rename request if I end up being active on here a lot, but as for right now, it is what it is. If you're not addressing me by my username, I prefer to go by Ryn /rɪn/. I use she/her pronouns, and my gender is just sort of "girl until proven otherwise".

I'm from the United States, where I'm currently studying library and information science (LIS), with the intent to become a librarian after I graduate college. My interest in LIS is actually what brought me back to Wikipedia, and though I can't guarantee I'll stick around, I certainly intend to try.

In terms of my editing ability, I'm very much still learning. I'm most confident in my ability to correct grammar, phrasing, and spelling, so most of my edits will likely be in that area, but I want to learn more so I can do more to help.

This page was last edited on 10/27/2023. If that's a few months or years in the past, it's safe to assume I've drifted on to other things, but there's a good chance I'll return someday.

Demographic and Political-Opinion Disclosures edit

I feel that it's important for me to disclose what positions of societal privilege and advantage I have, as well as my general political leanings, in order to help eliminate bias on Wikipedia. If you catch me using Wikipedia as an advocacy platform, or doing anything else I shouldn't, feel free to whack me with a trout as is Wikipedia tradition.

I am a young white cisgender woman with no physical disabilities. I identify as asexual and aromantic but have never felt particularly discriminated against because of that, although I respect the experiences of those who feel like they have been discriminated against for having the same or similar identities. I have ADHD and autism, but aside from the occasional uncertainty about social cues, I'm fully capable of masking and passing as neurotypical. I was raised in a nuclear family, in a majority white middle-class suburban town in America. I attended a Protestant church with my family every Sunday as a child, but currently feel little connection to any organized religion. I lean somewhat strongly towards the left side of the American political spectrum.
