Outline of proposed changes

edit

More current dated sources

  1. I plan to double check the outdated sources that the current article holds to see if it matches with our current studies. I noticed There were some articles from the 90s and the early 200s. During this assignment, I planned to stay close to a relevant date such as 2017, 2020, and 2023.

Dispute original research

  1. The pages contains original research and seems to be written as a person reflection. I plan to utilize multiple sources per topic.
  2. I also plan to use multiple viewpoints and not allow my person beliefs to sway the article to more of an argument for view, but focus on neutrality.
  3. I would like to reframe some of the language used that could point to a singular view of this topic. It may mislead the reader into believing pornography can only have harmful effects on the youth.
  4. Unless information is deduced from several experiments, the language explaining it should not be experimental. Therefore, I would like to focus on making statements correlational where need be.

Focus on citations.

  1. We need to go in add references per every citation as the article is missing some of that.
  2. We will verify that all citations match the text, or rewrite the text. If needed we can delete that irrelevant information as it is not matching the citation and add our own sources for that section.

Add new section

  1. Discussing the neuroscience perspective of how pornography consumption has effects on the brain.
  2. Analyzing the results from the study that was done on male participants.
  3. I would like to consider adding information based on how prevention and other measures can be taken to combat some of the negative effects pornography may have on children.
