Reginald Rose (born 26 April 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Brentford as a goalkeeper.
Rose is a product of the Crystal Palace academy and began his senior career in non-League football with Glebe and Sevenoaks Town. He began his professional career with Brentford in 2023.
Club career
editYouth years
editA goalkeeper, Rose began his career in the Crystal Palace academy.[2] He later joined the Kinetic Academy and concurrently made 12 appearances in non-League football for Glebe and Sevenoaks Town during the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons respectively.[2][3][4]
Brentford
editDuring the middle of the 2022–23 season, Rose joined the B team at Premier League club Brentford on trial.[2] Following involvement in two B team matchday squads,[2][5] he signed a six-month professional contract with the club on 1 February 2023.[2] The contract included the option of a further year.[6] Rose thereafter trained full-time with the B team and occasionally with the first team,[7] while playing for the U18 team.[2][8] The one-year option on his contract was triggered at the end of the 2022–23 season and he signed a new one-year contract,[6] with a one-year option, at the end of the 2023-24 season.[9]
