Career

edit

Early years

edit

A central defender, Edobor began his career with spells at youth clubs Cowley Explorers and Windsor,[3][4] before entering the youth system at Southern League First Division Central club Chalfont St Peter.[2] He made his senior debut for the club as a 70th-minute substitute for Asen Valchev in a 0–0 Southern League Cup draw with Kings Langley on 12 September 2015.[5] Edobor made four further appearances during the 2015–16 season and departed at the end of the campaign.[5][6]

Brentford

edit

Edobor joined the Development Squad at Championship club Brentford on trial in April 2016 and made five late-season appearances.[7] On 14 June 2016, he signed a one-year professional contract to be a part of the club's reformed B team,[6][8] though he would remained a part-time player throughout the 2016–17 season, in order to complete his A-Levels.[9] After 27 appearances for the B team, Edobor signed a new one-year contract on 4 April 2017 and committed to the club full time for the 2017–18 season.[9][10] After making 38 appearances during the 2017–18 season, he signed a new one-year contract in May 2018.[11] Edobor concurrently played for the B team and away on loan during much of the 2018–19 season and was a part of the team which won the 2018–19 Middlesex Senior Cup.[12][13] Edobor was released in June 2019, after making 95 appearances for Brentford B.[12]

Maidstone United (loan)

edit

On 3 December 2018, Edobor joined National League club Maidstone United on loan until 1 January 2019,[14] which was later extended until the end of the 2018–19 season.[15] He made just 9 appearances before his loan expired.[16]

Non-league football

edit

On 8 August 2019, Edobor signed a one-year contract with National League South club Chelmsford City on a free transfer and made one appearance before his release at the end of the month.[16][17][18] He moved across the division to join Dulwich Hamlet in September 2019 and again mustered only a single appearance before his release.[19][20]

Personal life

edit

Edobor attended Uxbridge High School.[21]
