I am a computer and networking professional in my mid-50s, happily married, living in the Central Coast region of California, USA. I read Wikipedia regularly, and do some very occasional editing, mostly just minor cleanups of grammar, out-of-date links and the usual stupid vandalism. My professional life revolves around information security, my domestic life around cooking and reading, and I have a particular interest in military history.
As you can see from the Babel box, I have a fondness for languages. I grew up as what I describe as a "card-carrying overseas brat" -- on and around various U.S. Army bases in Germany -- and majored in Russian while at Grinnell College.
I edit and update sporadically, as my work life and other time commitments allow. With my latest job, time has been in increasingly limited supply.
