Jim Bazza (Bazzaman) Australian Tunnel Ball Captain/Coach

Born in Blacktown NSW, Price started playing Tunnel Ball at Primary School were he was the team captain. At High School Bazza took up soccer and he was the team goal keeper. Once he finished High School. He joined the local Tunnel Ball club (Blacktown Diggers).

After 3 years with the club he quickly become the captain of the senior team. In 1992 the team won the local Champions, State Champions and went on to be Australian Champions. This was only the second time that a team had achieved winning all 3 Championships in a single year.

In 1993 Bazza was select in the Australian Team for the World Championships in Poland. The team made it to the semi finals were they were beaten by South Korea who went on to beat Brazil in the final.

After two years of local successes and two more State Championships and one Australian Championship, Bazza was select as Captain of the Australian Team for the 1995 World Championships in New Zealand. After a tough fought final with Brazil, Australia had finally won its first World Championship.

During the 2006 local season Bazza had to retire because off a back injury. He is currently the Australian coach when Mike Potts retired in 2000. In the 13 years he has been the Australian coach the teams has made the semi finals twice and have won two World Championships and are ranked number 1 in the world standings.
