AED Group is a group of companies that offers solutions in the AV (Audio visual) industry. The CEO of the AED group is Glenn Roggeman.
History
edit1977 Starts of Eglantier, wich was a small retail shop specialized in pro audio and hifi equipment.The shop was located in Mechelen, Belgium.
1981 Eglantier becomes AED pvba.
1987 Launch of AED Rent bvba.
1991 AED rent moves to its first independent premises in Mechelen.
1992 AED rent bvba switches to AED rent nv.
1993 AED becomes a group and started AED rent in France.
1995 The group starts up a new establishment in The Netherlands.
1999 AED rent (Belgium) moves to a new warehouse in Mechelen.
2000 Purchase of a new warehouse in France.
2002 Beginning of AED Cases. A company part of the AED group which builds flight cases used for transporting AV equipment.
2004 New premises for AED Rent Netherlands and France.
2006 Beginning of AED Rent Germany.
2007 Commencement of AED Display, a company that's part of the AED Group.
2009 The AED Group buys a new 20.000m² warehouse with 2.000m² offices which becomes the HQ.
2010 Startup of AED Rent UK. Launch of AED Repair.
2011 Launch of AED Lease.
2012 Commencement of AED Second Hand. A fire broke out at AED Cases. 8 months later AED Cases was rebuild and operational.
2013 Eurocam Media Center went bankrupt. The AED Group acquires the media center. The Eurocam Media Center was renamed to AED Studios.
2014 The AED Group renovates the AED Studios (55.000m²) to a State-of-the-art media center. AED Studios were officially opened on February 27th.
