Brian Schunck has worked for several years on machine vision and video codecs among other topics. The VC-5 video codec (originally the CineForm Intermediate Codec) has been standardized by SMPTE with many changes and enhancements since the codec was first developed by CineForm.
My intent is to draft and publish pages describing the VC-5 codec and its unique technology, in particular the changes and enhancements included in the VC-5 codec beyond what was first developed by CineForm.
