Azza Ali Akbik, Born and raised in Damascus 1952. Holder of PhD in Arts, department of modern and contemporary history; A biographer and a field researcher in the history of Damascus city heritage and a writer of 4 published books in Arabic, several essays and articles in some publishing magazines such as “Cradle of Civilization” and “Culture & Thought”.
A member of Arab Writers Union and the ‘Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage’ Committee, Vice Chairman of Friends of Environment Association with active participation in several social associations such as “Al Rajaa Association for People with Disabilities & Special Needs”, and “Damascus Friends Association”.
