Ann Walper has been associated with the 1888 Message Study Committee since 1985, first as a "friend" of the message, then in 1993 she was elected to serve on the board of directors and the editorial committee. In 1994 she became assistant editor which included responsibilities in copy editing and providing commentary on theological content of materials published by Glad Tidings Publishers, as well as contributing articles for the 1888 Message Study Committee newsletter. In addition, she has regularly contributed articles for the "Sabbath School Insights", which is an email study helps/commentary provided by the 1888 MSC editorial committee as an adjunct for the SDA Adult Bible Study Guide (aka "Quarterly").

Since 1992, Ann has been a contributing author to the religion page of the Herald-Citizen newspaper in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA. Her articles focus on presenting the vital concepts of Christ and His righteousness as presented by A.T. Jones and E.J. Waggoner at the 1888 Minneapolis General Conference session and in their writings from 1886 through about 1901.

Most of her time is spent in pursuing study of the Bible and relating the concepts presented in the writings of Jones and Waggoner (the "1888 message"). Her hobbies naturally include reading and book collecting. She is also a Web architect, graphic designer, and operational supervisor for CFI, their home-based operation, that creates and manages Web sites for several non-profit organizations.
