Hi, I consider myself :

  • Born again Christian
  • Evangelical (I hold strictly to the infallibility and inerrancy of scriptures, and a literal what-the-original-author-meant-to-his-original-readers hermeneutics)
  • Double predestinarian Calvinist (I love Piper, Calvin, MacArthur and other reformed theologians/pastors (but mostly Piper!). I love their insight/wisdom into scripture... though I have always been a calvinist long before I even knew the term - its just all over the bible)
  • Non-cessationist (I believe in the supernatural gifts, in apostles and prophets in the Church today (carefully defined), in the supernatural anointing power of the Holy Spirit. I admire alot many pentecostal pastors/ missionaries. Many of my christian friends are pentecostals.)
  • Complementarian (I believe in God's design for men and women taught in the bible)
  • Young earth creationist (I believe in the literal, exegetical account in Gen 1-11 and admire the likes of Ken Ham even though they get ridiculed alot)
  • Post-trib (I believe that the rapture and the Second Coming are not separate events)
  • Progressive Dispensational (I believe in the restoration of ethnic Israel into God's covenant people at the Second coming, and that God has only one covenant people not two)

I am married to Catherine Siena S. Tolentino with 3 children :

  • Zedeka [righteousness / zedek] Aina [taken from root word "pure", elven language in Tolkien's Silmarillion] (F)
  • Jaaziel [a Levite Musician] Eliden [God/ Elohim is my delight/ eden] (M)
  • Kesedel [from chessed / lovingkindness NASB OR mercy NKJ] Eliya [from Eleeo / Mercy] (F)

Other traits :

  • prefers the NASB or KJV
  • loves music : I play the piano, elect guitar, bass (...not at the same time obviously)
  • listens to Mp3 player alot
