About me edit
I am a paid employee of the Library of Congress, where we are working to make our holdings, publications, and other resources more accessible to the public by engaging directly with Wikipedia.
I have been at the Library of Congress since June 2004. I have contributed to reports for Congress, updated parts of The Bluebook, trademarked the GLIN logo, and drafted visa applications for co-workers. I coordinated the Law Library's Twitter account and Facebook page, write for the blog for In Custodia Legis, and work to develop and implement new features for Congress.gov. I am fortunate to blend my love of technology, law, gadgets, and working for Congress into my ideal position. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ball State University and a Juris Doctor and a Master's in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
Conflict of interest statement edit
When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my official professional duties, I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. Because the educational mission of the Library of Congress is in line with Wikipedia's mission to disseminate knowledge freely, I will not make edits that I do not believe are in accordance with Wikipedia's practices and procedures. Therefore, I will not make substantive edits to articles related to the Library of Congress or the Law Library of Congress as an organization (e.g. Library of Congress or Law Library of Congress), or its personnel. Instead, if I edit articles, they will be to contribute subject matter expertise, for example to improve articles about Library of Congress physical or digital holdings (e.g. Congress.gov). The Library of Congress work on Wikipedia is being governed by internal guidelines. If you believe I have made an error or violated Wikipedia’s norms, please do not hesitate to contact me.
