Astro Gianca (officially Giancarlo Albertinazzi) is a space lover since he was 5 years old, busy listening to Space Lab by Kraftwerk with his mangiadischi and wondering about what it would be like to live there. Life pushed him in other directions but space has always been his favourite topic and a terrific source of inspiration. Just lately his passion revamped: he discovered concepts like the Overview Effect (the astronauts' sensation bridging the destiny between Outer Space and Earth), he followed the evolutions of enterprises like SpaceX, TransAstra, and on and on... He decided then to take an active role in space, to become an independent space ambassador, with the aim of making people understand that space is not only the last frontier, but it's the real fifth element: only through space humanity will be able to evolve into something truly better, overcoming the limit to live in a confined world: “Earth is the cradle of humanity, but one cannot live in a cradle forever” (Konstantin Tsiolkovsky).

He is sharing his thoughts and discoveries in the Becoming Spacepolitans website, as well as using his social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

He joined Wikipedia to cover a huge gap, noticing that there wasn't anything about the great NASA fellow Joel C. Sercel, which he was able to cover thanks to the great support of his wiki mentor, User:Ipigott. He will for sure continue to cover some of the huge gaps about space he will find.
