Astridah Samupwa is a Namibian female, born and raised in the rural areas of the Zambezi region. Astridah completed school in the early 2000 and went ahead to study a Diploma in Information Studies. Upon graduation Astridah worked as a computer lab assistance, collecting data for the American Education Programme (AED). Astridah joined the University of Namibia in 2011 as a library assistant, while pursuing a degree in Library and Information Sciences. after graduation in 2016, Astridah pursed her studies further by studying a masters in Digital Curation with the university of Cape Town which she graduated in 2019. Astridah became the first Digital Curation and Scholarship Librarian at the University of Namibia, and since then have worked on different projects and community engagements and colloboration.
