Assisi School for the Deaf, Muvattupuzha is an aided special school for the hearing impaird, preparing the disabled students for the S.S.L.C. from pre -primary. It is owned and managed by Sisters of Mary Immaculate ,Vaduthala. It was established in 1986 under the able stewardship of Rev. Fr. Joseph K. W. Thomas Kandathil as a residential school with separate and free boarding facilities for boys and girls. From the very beginning to this day, it has kept up the record of 100% pass in the S.S.L.C. Examination unbroken. Besides excellent academic results it has bagged marvellous achievements in co- curricular activities sach as sports, arts, work experience etc .
