New Topic: Coal Mining and Environmental Justice in Appalachia

We are planning to establish a new page titled: Coal Mining and Environmental Justice in Appalachia. The article will discuss the environmental injustices experienced within the region in relation to heavy coal mining industry. My subsection is Industry Pollution and will cover cases specific to unauthorized discharges from industry to rivers. I will be discussing mountaintop removal and hydraulic fracturing and its social and environmental effects on the Appalachia community. I will broadly discuss the stream protection act and 1977 Surface Coal and Reclamation Act in relation to the new administration and the Trump's repeal. We plan on linking to the other sections' work on the stream protection act wiki page.

My job within editing the whole page is citation. I will be double checking my group members citations and be in charge of making sure citations for material are properly labeled.
