The West Kent Archaeological Society (WKAS)

edit

The West Kent Archaeological Society (WKAS) was founded in early 2008 by local archaeologists, students and enthusiasts to promote archaeology to the surrounding community and offer archaeological opportunities for all…

A need was identified for more community-based archaeology, that could uphold the principles and standards of a reputable archaeological group, whilst working with other local Societys/groups and societies for the benefit of West Kent.

The WKAS is CBA (Council for British Archaeology) Affiliated and is also NCMD Legacy : Landscape Explorers Group in South East Affiliated.
