The Techie years
In the earlier years of my career I worked various technical roles for major companies like Hewlett Packard, Ericsson, U.S. Robotics, KSR and Irish Broadband, Babelgum. My roles in that period started from technical support agent to Senior Technical Architect with other roles like Networking Engineer, System Administrator, IT Trainer falling in the middle.
My Marketing Transition
With the better and more technical roles came the engagement with the business side, no more hiding in basements and server rooms but presenting the plans to the board or the CTO’s I worked with. The key thing I did pick up in those various presentations was; Online Marketing and Search Engine Optimization is something most marketing managers never heard off. That is when I got involved in applying the technical knowledge with marketing techniques to come up with new ways of promoting a brand and a business online.
The Social Media Marketing era
For 3 years now I worked with various digital agencies helping them grow by setting up search engine optimization services and applying new online marketing techniques for the agencies and their clients. My deep technical knowledge of the internet helped me in creating my own social media marketing and SEO techniques. Currently I am involved with a large number of clients in promoting and improving their brand awareness, service and products online using platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and many others. This is what I do, and this is what I love.
