Gallery of Contemporary Art Bunkier Sztuki - art gallery in Krakow, founded in 1965, is one of the most important Polish institutions presenting contemporary art. It is an artistically independent institution of culture, financed by the City of Krakow.

The history of this institution back to 1950 – moment of creation of the Biuro Wystaw Artystycznych (BWA). In 1965, BWA moves to the exhibition pavilion, at pl. Szczepański 3a, designed by Krystyna Różyska-Tołłoczko (sculptural preparation of the facade: Antoni Hajdecki). In 1994, "Bunkier" received the status of a city gallery and its activity has gained an individual character, which symbolically expressed the name change: in 1995, the gallery officially adopted the name "Bunkier Sztuki". The first director of Gallery was the author of the new concept and its name Krzysztof Głuchowski (1993-1999), the next Jarosław Suchan (1999-2002), the next Maria Anna Potocka, by the end of 2014 Piotr Cypryański and to 2018 by Magdalena Ziółkowska.

Bunkier Sztuki presents modern world art, and at the same time promotes artists connected with Krakow. The gallery is known for exhibitions of world and Polish art classics. Most exhibitions are accompanied by extensive catalogs and discussion meetings with the participation of critics. Galeria Bunkier Sztuki in its activities refers to the current social, political and scientific context. Participates in the international exchange of ideas about art. Takes an active part in building Krakow's identity. It creates a platform for the exchange of information and experiences in areas related to the activities of artistic communities at local and international level. Works at the interface of disciplines, showing the relationship between art and other areas of culture.
