Main Character of the Quartet. Switched places with her twin brother to become a knight and trusted friend of the Prince.

Thom of Trebond

(in progress)Alanna's twin. Switched with Alanna @ age 10 to go study magic.

Coram Smythesson

(in progress) Trebond Man at Arms. Alanna's mentor and protector as she grew up in the castle. Became her traveling companion after she became a knight.

George Cooper

Gareth of Naxen the Younger

(in progress) Son of Gareth of Naxen the Elder, commonly called Gary. Friend of Alanna. Well liked in almost any circle.

Raoul of Goldenlake

(in progress)Friend of Jon and Alanna. Big guy, with an easy smile.

Alexander of Tirragen

(in progress) Friend of Jon and Alanna. Small as Alanna at first, and just as fast, Alex can match Alanna on the practice field any day. Became a squire of Roger of Conté before becoming a knight.

Myles of Olau

History teacher (?) at the castle when Jon and Alanna were there for training. Knows more than he lets on. Drinks a bit much at times. Becomes Alanna's adopted father after hers died.

Roger of Conté

(in progress) Jonothan's favorite uncle, hails from the City of the Gods. Not Alanna's favorite, to say the least. Tends to be ambitious for the throne.

Ralon of Malven

(in progress) A minor noble who was training to be a squire when Alanna came to the castle. Bully. Thought he could take George's title as King of Thieves.

Ali Mukhtab

(in progress)Leader of the Bazhir tribe that Ali joins in "Woman who rides like a man". Level headed.
