About me
editI am a full-time c-suite executive of a large company in Australia during the day. In my spare time I enjoy collecting ancient coins as a hobby. I particularly enjoy taking high quality photographs of ancient coins. It often takes me numerous attempts to get a photo of an ancient coin that leaves me satisfied enough to share it with others.
Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons
editI am slowly uploading all of my photos to Wikimedia commons where I hope they will be useful to other editors / contributors in writing articles on ancient coins, ancient rulers and ancient empires. I take considerable care in selecting the categories to which my photos relate to make life easier for anyone searching for relevant images. I noticed recently that there was a lack of high quality photos of ancient coins on Wikimedia Commons. I am therefore motivated to address this by uploading what I can, one photo at a time.
On Wikipedia, I would like to learn how to be a great editor. I have begun with subject matter I am most familiar with (ancient coins) and in particular adding images of ancient coins where that improves the overall quality of the article. I have noticed that there are many stubs when it comes to articles of ancient coins notwithstanding that volumes upon volumes of literature exist on the subject. Like with photos of ancient coins, I am motivated to remedy this by contributing to one stub at a time.
Other Interests
editI enjoy playing classical piano. I regularly read up on baroque, classical, romantic and twentieth century piano music and composers on Wikipedia. I am currently learning about web-design, using osCommerce, an open-source website framework, which necessitates a solid understanding of CSS, Bootstrap, and a rudimentary understanding of PHP and SQL.

The third coin (Trajan Dupondius) was taken on the same camera.
