Formed in 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee around the talents of Ricky Young, Joel King, and Taylor Burns, all of whom had served as lead singers in their previous bands, The Wild Feathers came together out of a shared love for all things Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, and the Band. The band's eponymous major-label debut hit the streets in the summer of 2013. The album peaked at number one on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, resulting in invites to appear on Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O Brien, Seth Meyers, Craig Ferguson, and ABC's Nashville, as well as critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and USA Today. The band plans on issuing its sophomore studio long-player, Lonely Is a Lifetime, in 2016.[2]
