MAYUDIA PASS.
Mayudia is name of a mountain & which is located in the Mishimi HillS. The entire mountain range is called The Mishmi Hills. It is in the District of Lower Dibang Valley,Head Quarter:Roing, Arunachal Pradesh. Unfortunately Border Road Organisation (BRO),where ever they construct roads and bridges, they change the original indigeneous names due to lack of knowledge and understanding of indigenous cultural & traditional values. They have made it Mayodia, which is wrong. It derives it's name from two(2) words i.e MAYU + AYA. Mayu is name of the Mountain & AYA means mountain in IDU MISHMI TRIBAL dialect, who are original inhabitants of the Mishmi Hills. In early days it was called Mayu-aya. Again Mayu is combination of two words MA+YU. MA means trying to come out of dense snowcovered mountain or any thing which is very dense & very difficult to walk or find out route on it. Yu means illusion as well as melting point. And it is called Mayudia Pass because there is a passage on top of the mountain which takes the traveller's to other side of the mountain.
