Heloísa Alves was born in Rinópolis-SP, Brazil on May 21st, 1986. Growing up she attended a public school in Clementina-SP (E.E.P.G de Clementina) where her mother was one of her teachers. After school she usually played chess with her father, and took piano classes. Heloisa moved to Redmond, WA, USA with her parents at the age of 14. She attended and graduated from Redmond High School in 2004. She played the piano for the RHS choir on her senior year. After getting outstanding grades on her WASL test, Governor Gary Locke sent her parents a letter of accomplishment. During her teen years Heloisa took a great approach towards music taking part of her first rock band Tercer Elemento where she played the keyboard and sang. Shortly after graduating from RHS, Heloisa was first runner up at the 'Miss Latin World' pageant representing WA state in 2005. That same year Heloisa audicioned for La Academia USA reality show, and was selected to be one of the 18 participants, during and after the show Heloisa lived in Mexico where she started to pursue her career. Spanish is not Heloisa's first language, but she learned it in a short amount of time, and was invited by producers from TV AZTECA AMERICA to participate of a sports show called "Los Protagonistas a Nivel Mundial" during the Soccer World Cup. Shortly after the show, she moved back to Seattle, WA where she attended Bellevue College, and studied Music Production and Audio Engineering. Heloisa formed a band called Oziriz with Oscar Ruiz, Alexander Weng, Cesar Alcantar and Terrance Lyn. In November 2007 in NYC, Heloisa Alves won the Miss Brasil USA pageant. In 18 years of history of the pageant, she became the first winner representing Washington State. During her reignth in 2008 she reached many accomplishments. In early 2009 Heloisa participated of Univision's reality show "Nuestra Belleza Latina"where she became one of the 20 finalists. On May and June 2009 she became part of the cast of "En La Casa de Carlos"commedy show on America TV for 12 episodes featuring "Chiquinha". In July 2009 she won the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Washington State and while she's still waiting for the finals in January 2010, she will be launching her 100% Mineral Make up line called Forever Young by Heloisa Alves.
