I am a junior, Sociology major at the University of Pittsburgh. I am also pursuing a certificate in Media and Public Relations. I plan to pursue a law degree or a career in Media and Broadcasting. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pa and graduated from Penn Hills High School in 2005. Despite transferring from The Pennsylvania State University after 1 year, I plan to graduate a semester early. I plan to study in London in the Summer of 2008 and travel extensively through Western Europe. This is a requirement for Social Research.

This is my first edit of my Wikipedia page.

I just finished my assignment for class and find the readings to be very interesting and useful. I learned a lot about the economy and why it works the way it does. I think these readings illustrate how all things are related somehow such as the economy, environment, history, and politics.

Chapters 12 and 13 provided an informative and interesting look on globalization and its effects on women. It also gave me better insight in what kind of organizations are fighting against globalization and the history behind them. I think it is a scary road we are traveling down with the global market and I am encouraged by the large organizations fighting for equality. I love sociology. This is a practice sentence.

I agree most with the global society approach to globalization because I think that the nations are losing power and global institutions will soon dominate. Wal Mart is a perfect and terrifying example of this.
