Article Review edit

I visited the Ron Finley page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its structure/completeness, its lack of citations, and its age.

Structure/Completeness edit

Concerning the basic structure and completeness of this article, I've noticed that many of Wikipedia's pages about an individual person will at least include their date of birth. This page does not include that or any other basic information about career/family/education. The page also lacks a picture of Ron Finley himself. Additionally he is first mentioned as a Los Angeles-based fashion designer however there is little information about his work in this field.

Citations edit

There are some citations given throughout the page but additional citations are required in the Background subheading in order for it to become substantial. As of now there are zero citations in that particular subheading. Also the third reference in this article is a misleading link as it will only take you to the CNN website rather than the article itself.

Age edit

Some of the citations are very old, dating back to 1998. However the older articles and excerpts can be found after some digging. The article could use an update as the last revision was from September 2016.

Summary edit

Overall, I'd rate this page as "poor". The information given provides an incomplete background. Basic information is missing and there are few sources cited raising questions about this page's reliability. In particular, the section about Ron Finley's background has claims with no evidence and zero citations. Not only could this page benefit from additional citations but updated information as well. Updating and expanding on the subject of Ron Finley's involvement with food deserts could serve to make this article more current.
