Critique an Article (Genderqueer)

The sources in this article cover most, but not all of the information provided. Most articles are from news sources or journals that are for the most part, reputable. However, some information comes from magazines, like Bustle that are not as reliable. Everything in the article is very relevant to the topic and covers a lot of what it means to be genderqueer, even legally. The article is mostly neutral. However, the section on discrimination is a little hard to decipher. The writer references the National Transgender Discrimination Survey, which conveys subjective information from those affected by discrimination. Although it reports statistics, the information is subjective due to the fact that those experiencing discrimination experience it in their own way and two people experiencing the same discrimination may report it in very different ways. Most references come from reliable sources such as news articles, however, there is never any factual information cited from these sources. For example, one reference is to an article called "Taking the "Sex" out of Transsexual: Representations of Trans Identities in Popular Media" by Johanna Schorn. Although this article is subjective in its exploration of trans identities in the media, the wiki page only uses it to state the fact that some references use transgender as a term that includes genderqueer people. This article seems to be fairly neutral in the way the concept of genderqueer is presented. There does not seem to be any close paraphrasing in this article. The oldest source used is from 1996, but a majority of the sources come from the past 4 years. I believe that the discrimination section could be expanded on and made more factual. It may also be helpful to include a brief legal/social history of genderqueer people.
