- Copy the format of similar pages (there's nothing wrong with plagiarizing style and language from elsewhere on Wikipedia!)
- Everything needs to be supported by references elsewhere on the web
- Any images need to be Creative Commons or in the Public Domain (uploaded to commons.wikimedia.org)
- Include links to other pages, where relevant
- Add links to your new page from other pages, where relevant
- Use the "preview" button often.
- Save often with smaller edits rather than bigger ones
- Work on your article as a draft until it's ready
