According to the German newspaper 'Die Welt', the former commander of the Special Forces division known as 'Carnivore' [1][2][3]wrote a memoir in which he claims that he killed his victims with light weapons or in close combat , with a knife or even with their hands.

The American officer, originally from the state of Kentucky, was in the conflict zone twice. There he created a list in which he marked each death with a line. Among other episodes, the author describes in the book how he once faced "the attack of 44 Iraqi tanks and 20,000 soldiers", and also narrates that on one occasion he had to kill enemies with a knife because the pistol stopped working.

Dillard Johnson chose his future profession as a child because of his love of arms. "While all my friends wanted to be astronauts or firefighters, I had a great talent for shooting as a child," the soldier confessed.

Although he joined the Army in 1986, he was forced to wait until 2003 to be able to measure his forces on the battlefield. On his second assignment in Iraq, in 2005, Johnson was assigned the position of sniper. In that position Johnson killed 121 people, the farthest at a distance of 750 meters.

After military service, the officer was awarded 37 prizes for his bravery. 'Die Welt' concludes that Johnson currently suffers from several health problems: besides having a bullet in his leg, he is fighting against lymph node cancer.
