Statement of bias edit

I always edit with positive intentions, but I sometimes make mistakes while acting in good faith. Occasionally, I may let bias seep into my work. As an added control against this, I am creating this statement of bias to disclose those biases that I am aware of. Of course, everybody has implicit bias, and this list should not be considered exhaustive. This list should also not be used as ammunition in a content dispute, though I am quite sure somebody reading this will consider that option. To clarify, I am publishing this information in my user space as a self-accountable reminder to edit from a neutral point of view, even in those topic areas that may challenge my beliefs and sensibilities. If you find that I have been non-neutral in my contributions regarding one of these subjects, please do the right thing and address it with me personally on my talk page; I have been known to change my mind after sober reflection. Subject area	Bias
American Politics	I may have bias for subjects aligning with the viewpoints in progressivism and center-left politics. I may also have bias against subjects related to conservatism.
Eastern Europe	I may have some bias in favor of Russophones; I do not consider myself supportive of Putin's regime.
Israel	I may have some bias in favor of Israel in the context of disputes with Palestine.

Social
Subject area	Bias
Abortion	I may have bias in favor of pro-choice viewpoints.
Holocaust	I may have bias in favor of Jews and Jewishness in subject areas related to the Holocaust.

Intellectual
Subject area	Bias
Pseudoscience	I have bias in favor of science and against pseudoscience. I also agree with the viewpoint that Wikipedia shares these biases.
Medicine	I may have bias in favor of conventional medicine and against traditional Chinese medicine, folk medicine, and alternative medicine, among other topics.
History of life	I may have bias in favor of evolution and natural selection as well as bias against creationism and intelligent design.
