Albert Weber (* 1984) studied History of Eastern and Southeastern Europe and Romanian Studies at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Master's degree 2009). From 2010 to 2011 he was a fellow and research assistant at the Institute for German Culture and History of Southeast Europe (Munich). From 2011 to 2016 and again since 2021, he has been a research assistant at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS, Regensburg), responsible for projects on the digitization of German-language press from Eastern Europe. From 2016 to 2020, he worked on his dissertation project on the Wallachian voivode Vlad III Drăculea (1431–1476), funded by the German Research Foundation, at the Justus Liebig University Giessen (PhD 2021).
