My name is Alain Galvan (pronounced Alan Gal-vahn), a Member of Technical Staff at AMD, focused on improving the performance of ray traced applications on AMD hardware.

I specialize in real time rendering and high-performance GPU computing. I have a deep passion for computer graphics, be it research in ray tracing and real time rendering, designing libraries and tools to help solve problems for engineers and technical artists, or teaching.

I'm also a guest speaker for a number of universities and meetups on the in the United States such as the University of Pennsylvania and Colorado State University, and heavily contribute to open-source software on GitHub.
