Sheila Nduhukire is a Ugandan based talented and enthusiastic News anchor and senior reporter. She has a deep understanding of the top political issues in the grate lakes region of the Republic of Uganda.[1]

Background

Nduhukire was born in kazo, Kiruhura district in the Western part of Uganda to Rt. Rev. Stephen Namanya, the north Ankole Diocese Bishop and Lydia Namanya, a teacher.[2]

Education

Nduhukire attended Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo for her O' Level, after she joined Bweranyangi Girls SS for her A' Level education. She then joined Mbarara University of Science and Technology(MUST) to study Business Administration. There after she got a scholarship to study International Public Relations and Global Communications Management and Law at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.[3]

Career

In 2013, Nduhukire was voted the first female Guild President of Mbarara University and the President of the East African Community Student's Union. She has previously worked as a communications intern at the Parliament of Uganda, a freelance journalist with Daily Monitor News paper and a volunteer with Compassion International Uganda. She is a Rotarian and a recipient of the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow and serves on the Rotary Uganda Public Relations Board. She also worked as a reporter for Red pepper news paper based in Mbarara district. She’s also a communication consultant, content creator and corporate events MC/moderator.

Nduhukire’s journalism career began at NTV Uganda, She started as a journalism trainee in print, radio and television before making her mark in the field. Before she worked at NTV Kenya as a news anchor in Media Training Lab.

NTV news manager then spotted her to work as a News Anchor on NTV Uganda. She later crossed to NBS TV in 2019 as a News Anchor right from NTV joining several other presenters of NTV Uganda that left the Serena based Station to join the NBS team, a brand of Next Media Group. Nduhukire was unveiled by Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa.

Nduhukire has no plans of getting married soon.[5]
