Dr Isiaka Ayodele Owoade was born in Ikire, Osun State, Nigeria on 24th January 1954. He married Mrs Olufunke Owoade (nee Oladogba of Igbodo compound Ile-Ife) on 30th May 1981. Blessed with five children, namely Abiodun, Ademola, Omolola (Miss), Adewumi and Ayodele Jnr. He had his primary education at St John Primary School Ikire (1961-1966), secondary education at St Charles Grammar School Osogbo (1968-1971). He spent four years in secondary school instead of the usual five years due to a double promotion. Dr Owoade obtained his first degree at the renowned University of Ibadan where he graduated BSc (Hons) Geology, 2nd Class Upper Division. Postgraduate studies took him to Loughborough University of Technology where he bagged his MSc and PhD degrees in 1983 and 1989 respectively.
Dr Owoade has taught in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and abroad. Currently, he is into active politics as a member of All Progressives Congress, the Nigerian ruling party. He has held various party and public service positions as listed below:
