There are more than 30 Thousand children in Pabna[2]who live under the poverty line. They can be seen on streets all over the Pabna city, tired, hungry and, more often than not, exploited. Often these street children become involved in unsafe and dangerous professions, forced to do whatever it takes to put food in their beliefs. As they grown up, they are absorbed into the tide of destitution that plagues this small city. Later generations fall in step, unable to break out of the mold. Every day, these children in Pabna lose a little of their childhood to poverty. Instead of going to school and playing with their friends, they work day and night to earn a few meager crumbs. Every day, these children work hard and long to get nowhere in life.
The Sopner Baksho Foundation is a pabna based social welfare organization and it works mainly for street children. On the other hand, Sopner Baksho Foundation works in some environment issue and motivation session for youth by executing with Sopner Baksho Foundation's sister concern SBF Volunteer[3]. Sopner Baksho Foundation recently earned name clearance certificate from Ministry of Social Welfare,People’s republic of Bangladesh[4].SBF worked some government project with District Council,Pabna,Ministry Of Local Government,Bangladesh[5] and Deputy Commissioner's Office[6]. some international project was done with Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassador Network.[7] and some project are proposed.
History=
editIn April 20014, Ahmed Al Kabir,started a movement with some friends to distribute eid cloth in Eid ul Azha among the street children in Pabna city. Later he expanded this type of program in Pabna to establish the Sopner Baksho Foundation(SBF).Till then SBF works for street children with the hope of 'In searching for dream world' for those children who doesn't know the meaning of happiness.[8]
