Brother's Day

August 11 was officially declared Brother’s Day in both the state of Oregon by Governor Ted Kulongoski and the city of Portland by Mayor Tom Potter on July 28, 2008.[1]

According to Portland Mayor Tom Potter, Kurt and Rob Widmer, of Widmer Brothers Brewing, "who are proud representatives of the state and its flourishing craft beer movement, seek to honor brothers everywhere by sponsoring this occasion."
