British Mexican designer/Artist Lupe Velazquez was born in Coacuilco Hidalgo Mexico in 1976. He studied BA Product Design (Furniture Related) at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, graduating in 2005. He has a First Class degree in Product Design Related to Furniture.
My artwork is based in fashion Design where, I combine organic shapes colours and futuristic features, where in my latest artworks The birds I combined some funky colour like kind of fabrics to represent the spring.
I have designed, made and framed artwork for Damien Hirst, Adele, Marc Quinn, Julian Opie, Rolf Harris and Tracey Emin Etc.
Recognition for my design ability during my time at university, including:Featured as front cover story on award-winning University magazine Soup, awarded “Best Edition” at the Guardian Student Media Awards 2004.Co-sponsored 2004 KIAD fashion show, along with British Airways, L’Oreal and others, by allowing use of my “Spring Chair” in promotional material.Designs were featured in two consecutive contemporary editions of KIAD’s undergraduate prospectus.featured as front cover story on award-winning University magazine Soup, awarded “Best Edition” at the Guardian Student Media Awards 2004 , and various paintings on exhibitions in London, South England and abroad.His work has been featured in national magazines and newspapers such as the Sunday Times, The Guardian, Evening Standard, Noticias Latin America, Su Noticias, Caras Corasao. Icon magazine, IDFX Magazine, Homes Interiors Scotland, as well as internationally.
