George Muirhead (8 May 1861 - 28 December 1945) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was George Millar Muirhead [Snr] (15 February 1828 - 12 October 1885), a house painter in his father's company John Muirhead and Sons.
His mother was Mary Black Fyffe (1 August 1827 - 4 February 1929) from Perth. George [Snr] and Mary married on 21 October 1847 in Blackness Road, Dundee.
George Muirhead was born on 8 May 1861 in Perth.[7]
He married Elizabeth Campbell Farquharson (17 February 1861 - 8 November 1948) from Perth. They married on 30 June 1892 at 5 North Port, Perth.
Their daughter Kate Campbell Muirhead (9 April 1893 – 20 July 1980) was a sculptor and artist.
