editHis father was the artist Alberto Morrocco (14 December 1917 – 10 March 1998) from Aberdeen.
His mother was Vera Cockburn Mercer from Bracohill near Keith. Alberto and Vera married in Edinburgh in 1941.[3]
Leon Francesco Morrocco was born in Edinburgh in 1942.
