Janet Moffat (5 November 1811 - 21 July 1884) was a Scottish painter.

Her father was Thomas Moffat.
Her mother was Marion (c. 1784 - 26 September 1858) from South Leith, Edinburgh.[4] Thomas and Marion married on 16 January 1810 in South Leith.
Janet Stoddart Moffat was born on 5 November 1811 in Liverpool, England. She was baptised on 10 January 1812 at Oldham Street, Presbyterian Church there.[5]
